1 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
3/4 c. sweetened coconut flakes
Cream butter and sugar together. Mix in milk and vanilla. Stir in cherries, flour, and pecans. Divide dough in two, form into two logs, 8-10
inches long. Roll logs in coconut to
coat dough. Wrap in wax paper or plastic
wrap and chill 4 hours or overnight.
Slice into 1/4 inch discs, place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375
for about 12 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
